What is Exercise Rehabilitation?
A series of prescribed exercises, stretches and positional activities that complement each patient’s individualized phase of recovery and promote patient autonomy with their own healing.
These curated exercises will not only help the recovery process to reduce pain and promote healing but also prevent future injury. The developed exercise program will aim to add stability, mobility, strengthen underactive muscles, lengthen overactive muscles and correct postural and positional habits.

The certified techniques used in our clinic:
- Directional preference/McKenzie Protocol for disc injuries or nerve sensitivity into extremities
- DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) certified technique to engage core stability and bracing for optimal low back healing and protection, as well as alleviating tension in upper back and neck
- Neurodynamic certified technique that involves gentle movements and stretches to address nerve-related issues, like tingling or pain. Neurodynamics eases tension along your nerves, promoting smoother signals between your brain and body. Used to restore the proper gliding and tensioning of the body’s nervous system
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment or SFMA for thorough assessment of body movement and segmental motions deficits in areas that may or may not be causing pain or discomfort
